Ok, Due to popular demand, I am posting my Mini cheeseburger Recipe. I kind of adapted it from the Fabulous Ham and Swiss recipe of Mrs. Lisa Turner. Which I will also need to post. I know this recipe is alot like the Turkey Burger slider, BUT, it is also very YUMMY.
Ingredients
1.5lbs - 2 lbs of hamburger meat
1 sweet onion (or whatever kind you have in fridge- Ive even used a red onion)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons garlic salt
pepper
Package of American cheese slices (thick sliced is best)
2 pans of Tatum or Dinner rolls (normally i use the small rectangular ones you find near hamburger and hot dog buns)
Special Sauce ingredients
3 tablespoons Mustard
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
4 or 5 tablespoons softened butter
salt to taste (about a teaspoon)
Preheat Oven to 400.
Put hamburger meat in pan and mix in Worcestershire,Garlic salt and few dashes of pepper. Cook meat until brown (like you do when you make spaghetti). Take out of pan and drain. While cooking meat, put onion and tablespoon of butter in another pan and saute until onion is clear, If you want to caramelize (cook until they are brown) that is also yummy. Put onions into drained meat and mix up.
Mix all of "Special Sauce" ingredients together in small bowl.
take rolls out of tin (leave intact) and cut horizontally in half with a serrated knife. Spread special sauce over the inside of the buns (top and bottom) but be careful not to put alot of spread on bottom half because they will tend to get mushy and greasy. Put bottom half of rolls back into aluminum pan they came in and pour a layer of meat mixture on top of it. then put a layer of American Cheese slices on top until entire thing is covered. Put top half of Rolls on top and then Sprinkle with Sesame Seeds. (if you like pickles, try putting hamburger Pickles over the American cheese) Repeat with 2nd Pan of rolls.
Cover Pan with aluminum foil and place in oven for 20-30 minutes until cheese has melted. I like for my rolls to have hardened a bit so that the sandwich doesn't crumble in my hands. If you refrigerate these before you cook, add about 10 or 20 minutes to cook time.
Then cut the rolls with a knife, arrange on a serving platter and ENJOY!!!
They are always a HUGE hit and don't intend on having any left!!! YUMMY!!!
Picture to come soon!
